Ben Haugen

Ben Haugen is an experienced manager and geotechnical engineer with a strong background in business development and project execution within the geotechnical industry. Currently serving as Manager of Hard-Rock Geotechnical at RESPEC since January 2023, Ben leads business development efforts and supervises various analysis projects. Previously, Ben held the position of Director of Business Development for Remote Sensing at GeoStabilization International®, where strategic initiatives created a new division focused on slope stability services. Ben's past roles include Manager of Open-Pit Geotechnics and Sr. Geotechnical Solutions Engineer, with extensive experience in directing and innovating geotechnical services, nurturing client relationships, and utilizing advanced technologies such as LiDAR and UAVs. Ben's educational background includes a Master of Science in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
