Eugene Schaefer

Eugene Schaefer, PE, PMP, currently serves as a Structural Project Manager at RESPEC since August 2022, having held the position of Associate Principal at SDG Incorporated from May 1992 to August 2022, where Eugene specialized in consulting structural engineering services for a wide range of structures, including water storage tanks, treatment plants, and various types of bridges. Notable projects include the Globeville Landing Outfall, awarded in 2021 by ACEC, and the Ashland Reservoir water tank replacements for Denver Water. Previous experience includes leadership roles at Jorgensen, Hendrickson, Close and Schaefer, Inc., as well as positions at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Colorado State University, and Inland Steel Company. Eugene holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University.
