Rafael Guichou, PhD

Rafael Guichou, PhD has a diverse work experience. Rafael currently works as a Signal Processing Engineer at RESPINOR AS since 2020. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Research Engineer at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, where they designed and modeled a new sensor for sodium control, and measured velocity of liquid sodium flow by electromagnetic and acoustic techniques. Rafael also worked as a Research Associate at Liebherr Group from 2015 to 2015, where they modeled energy recovery systems to estimate their efficiency, power-to-weight ratio, and integration in the architecture of aircraft air conditionning systems. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Research Associate at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA, where they modeled a hydropneumatic control system controlling the actuator of a rocket nozzle. Rafael was granted by the ITA for the results obtained in the internship. Lastly, from 2013 to 2014, they worked as an Associate Engineer at TECSIS - Tecnologia e Sistemas Avançados S/A, where they determined the influence of fiberglass fabrics permeability in vacuum infusion process, and analyzed and compared experimental observations of wind turbine blade infusions with numerical simulations.

Rafael Guichou, PhD, has an extensive education history. Rafael obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse in 2010-2015. Rafael also obtained a Master of Research in Fluid Dynamics, Energetics and Thermal Transfer from the same institution in 2014-2015. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physical Sciences from Toulouse INP in 2015-2019. In addition, Rafael has obtained various certifications, including Learning MATLAB and Python Essential Training from LinkedIn in 2019, TOEIC: 910/990 from the TOEIC Program in 2014, a European Driving License - B from Permis De Conduire in 2013, and Body Language for Leaders from LinkedIn.
