Aurelie Jacquet has a diverse range of experience in the field of AI and responsible AI. In 2018, they served as the Chair of AI Standards at Standards Australia and was a member of the Australian AI Working Group, focusing on the social and economic implications of AI in Australia. Aurelie also worked as a Director at Ethical AI Consulting starting in 2019.
In 2020, they became a member of IEEE's P2863 committee, which focuses on the organizational governance of AI, and joined the Artificial Intelligence Committee at ACS (Australian Computer Society) in 2021.
Aurelie has also served in various advisory roles. Aurelie was a member of the Privacy and Data Law Committee at The Law Society of NSW in 2020 and became a committee member of the NSW Government AI Advisory Committee in 2021.
Recently, Aurelie has been involved in significant roles with several leading organizations. Aurelie is currently a member of the Board of Advisors at UNSW AI Institute and a Lead in the AI at Scale Think Tank, National AI Centre at CSIRO's Data61. Aurelie is also an expert on AI classification and risk at OECD.AI. Notably, Aurelie has been a Co-chair of the Working Group on the Certification of AI Systems at the Responsible AI Institute since 2021. Their work in this role contributes to the development of an independent, accredited certification program for responsibly built AI systems.
Aurelie Jacquet obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM), with a focus on International Law, French Law, and English Law, from Universite Paris X. Aurelie completed their education at Universite Paris X from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they pursued a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Law from UNSW, studying from 1999 to 2001. In addition to their academic qualifications, Aurelie Jacquet received certifications in 2021, including the Responsible AI Institute Leadership Award and the CIPPE certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
