Jacques de Jager has worked in various management roles in the hospitality industry. Jacques started as a General Manager at Protea Hotels from 2003 to 2012. Jacques then served as the General Manager at Hotel White Sands, Resort and Conference Centre in 2013, where they successfully improved the business and its reputation. From 2014 to 2017, Jacques worked as a Regional General Manager at Bidvest Prestige, overseeing finance, operations, and compliance with international standards. Currently, they are the Head of Facilities Management at Respublica (Pty) Ltd, a position they have held since October 2017.

Jacques de Jager completed their education in a chronological order. Jacques first attended Pietersburg High School from 1993 to 1997. Jacques then pursued a National Diploma in Hospitality Administration/Management at Tswane University of Technology, from 1998 to 2001. Lastly, they enrolled at the University of Liverpool from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
