Gary Friedman

Gary Friedman is the current Chairman and CEO at Restoration Hardware. Prior to their work at Restoration Hardware, Gary Friedman worked at Gem.net-Swarovski/Golay/Signity as a Senior Marketing Manager from January 2000 to December 2002. In this role, Friedman was responsible for leading targeted promotions, branding and incentive programs. Gary also served as a key liaison to all online business partners, including thousands of affiliates. Furthermore, they partnered with various departments to implement cross-divisional initiatives.

From January 1996 to December 2000, Gary Friedman worked at Sony Pictures in management. During their time at Sony Pictures, they successfully developed, marketed, and managed the Mystery Shopper Program, a loyalty/incentive program that significantly improved customer service while rewarding the employees. Within 5 years, the program was running at close to full capacity across the United States. Additionally, they created customer awareness though creation of brochures, telecommunications and increased Internet exposure. Gary measured all key metrics and provided weekly reports to all key personnel within the company. Lastly, they worked closely with all Operational Directors across the country to improve service and profitability.
