Catherine Cahill

Catherine Cahill has extensive work experience in the transportation industry. Catherine started their career in 1980 as an Administrative Clerk at CIE and later worked as a Relief Clerk at Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail. From 1989 to 2006, Catherine held various roles at Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail, including Corporate & Group Travel Administrator and District Administration Executive. Catherine then became a Station Manager at Killarney & Tralee, where they were responsible for managing passenger train operations, implementing safety standards, and overseeing personnel management. Catherine also served as a Relief District Manager, ensuring the safe operation of rail services in Cork/Kerry. In 2013-2014, they worked as a Business Development Manager (Act) at Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail. Most recently, Catherine joined Retail Financial Solutions (RFS) as an Executive Assistant to the Managing Director in 2023.

Catherine Cahill completed their Level 6 Project Management degree at ETBI from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Railway Operations Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, where they studied from 2007 to 2013. Catherine's education also includes a Leaving Certificate from St. Mary's Secondary School in Macroom, although the specific dates for this qualification are not specified.
