Phoebe Larson has a wealth of experience in communications, marketing, and editorial work. Phoebe began their career in 2003 as an Assistant Editor at Greenspring Media Group, where they wrote and edited articles for business and tourism publications. In 2004, they became an Associate Editor at Carleton College, where they were the Editor-in-Chief of the college alumni magazine. In 2009, they were hired as Editorial Director at Hamline University, where they directed content and strategy in support of the University's branding and marketing campaigns. In 2012, they launched their own freelance writing and consulting business, Phoebe Larson, LLC. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Marketing Strategist at the Metropolitan Airports Commission, where they developed and executed strategic marketing plans. In 2020, they were hired as a Communications Manager at the McKnight Foundation, where they oversaw editorial operations across platforms, managed media and grantee relations, and served as lead writer and editor. Most recently, in 2021, they were hired as a Senior Content Manager at Rethink Compliance.

Phoebe Larson completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English at Bates College from 1997 to 2001. Phoebe then earned a Post-baccalaureate certificate in Documentary writing from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in 2002. Finally, they received their Master's in Strategic Communication from the University of Minnesota in 2008.
