Regional Director Of Educational Partnerships at Rethink Ed

Elise S. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Elise began their career as a Teacher and Education Assistant with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra in 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as an Elementary Teacher with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. In 2012, Elise was selected as one of ten international musicians to participate in the New England Conservatory's Sistema Fellowship. In this role, they focused their research on the intersection of music and Special Education while teaching at various locations. Elise then pursued a Masters in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 2015 to 2016. After completing their degree, they joined Fulton County Schools as a Special Education Teacher and Department Chair, where they designed and implemented differentiated instruction aligned with individual education plans. Elise furthered their career at RethinkEd, starting as a Professional Services Consultant in 2018 and progressing to roles such as Professional Services Manager and Director of Educational Partnerships. Elise currently holds the position of Regional Director of Educational Partnerships for RethinkEd.

Elise S. has a Master's Degree in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, which they obtained from 2015 to 2016. Elise also has a Sistema Fellowship from the New England Conservatory of Music, acquired from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and another Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Appalachian State University, where they attended from 2007 to 2011. Elise also holds an Educational Certificate for K-12 from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
