Brad Smith

Brad Smith, Ph.D. has extensive experience in data science and analytics, currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at RethinkFirst since October 2025. Prior roles include Principal Scientist and Chief Science Officer at meQuilibrium, where emphasis was placed on synthesizing data to illustrate workforce resilience and conducting research to gain insights. Other notable positions include Senior Data Scientist at Cigna, Vice President of Data Science, and Vice President for Reporting and Analytics at meQuilibrium, and Principal Research Associate at IMPAQ International. Smith also held the role of Director of Health Systems and Services Research at Drexel University and co-directed initiatives at Altarum Institute. An academic background includes serving as an Assistant Professor at McDaniel College and working as an Evaluator for the GAO. Smith holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Social Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a BA in Political Economy from Michigan State University.
