Kristin Keen

Founder & CEO at Rethreaded

Kristin Keen is the founder and president of Rethreaded, an organization that helps women who have been victims of human trafficking. Kristin has always been passionate about helping others, and they found their calling when they became a Brothel Out Reach Coordinator for Word Made Flesh. In this role, Kristin was in charge of leading out reach teams, developing relationships, and creating access to services to help assist women in human trafficking. Kristin offered friendship and hope to these women, and helped them with specific needs. Kristin also made referrals to other local businesses, and coordinated the schedule and teams of visitors.

In 2009, Kristin left Word Made Flesh to become a dietitian/supervisor at a WIC Health Center. In this role, they assisted patients with high risk nutritional needs and supervised staff. Kristin also obtained a SLC (Supervisor Leadership Certificate) and provided one-on-one clinical nutritional counseling.

After two years at the WIC Health Center, Kristin decided to start their own organization: Rethreaded. Rethreaded helps women who have been victims of human trafficking by providing them with job training and employment opportunities. Kristin is passionate about helping these women rebuild their lives, and they are proud to be able to offer them a path to freedom and independence.

Kristin Keen has a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Florida. Kristin is currently pursuing a Nutrition and Human Sciences degree in Dietetics/Dietitian from the University of Central Florida.
