Staff Scientist at Retro Biosciences

Anastasia Shindyapina has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences, starting with their current role as a Staff Scientist at Retro Biosciences since 2022. Previously, they worked at Harvard Medical School as an Instructor in Medicine, where they focused on extending lifespan using mice as a model, understanding the link between aging and cancer, and investigating the genetics of human aging. Anastasia also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School before their role as an Instructor.

Anastasia was the Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of Minegenics, a biotech startup, from 2014 to 2018. During their time at Minegenics, they oversaw research and development efforts and focused on developing tools for precision medicine and diagnosis of vascular calcification based on multi-omics data from patients.

Prior to Minegenics, Anastasia worked as a Researcher at The Vavilov Institute of General Genetics (VIGG) from 2013 to 2018, exploring various research projects. Anastasia also worked as a Researcher at the A.N. Belozersky Institute of Physico-Chemical Biology MSU from 2011 to 2013, and at the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology from 2009 to 2011.

Additionally, Anastasia had research experience as a Researcher at the First Open Institute for Regenerative Medicine for Junior Investigators from 2012 to 2014. Anastasia presented their work at international conferences during their time at this institute.

Furthermore, they briefly worked as a Commercialization Pathfinder at Commercialization Pathfinder in 2014-2015.

Throughout their career, Anastasia Shindyapina has demonstrated a strong commitment to research in the field of biosciences, with a particular focus on aging, genetics, and precision medicine.

Anastasia Shindyapina began their education at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in 2008, where they pursued a Specialist degree in the Faculty of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics. Anastasia completed this program in 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued at MSU to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology, which they completed in 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Anastasia has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. In 2013, they completed a course on Statistics in Medicine offered by Coursera. In 2015, they obtained a certification in Data analysis using R from Stepic. Anastasia also attended a program on Nanobiomaterials and Nanobiotechnologies at the MSU Nanotechnology Education and Research Center in 2013. In 2016, they completed a course on Python for Genomic Data Science also offered by Coursera. In 2017, they obtained a certification in Statistics for Genomic Data Science from Coursera. Their most recent certification, obtained in 2020, is in Fundamentals of Immunology: Innate Immunity and B-Cell Function, acquired through Coursera Course Certificates.

Based on the information provided, Anastasia Shindyapina has demonstrated a strong commitment to their education and continuous learning in the field of bioengineering, bioinformatics, molecular biology, and related disciplines.
