David Plunkett is a seasoned programmer and technical artist with extensive experience in the video game industry, currently working at Retro Studios since July 2014. Prior experience includes programming roles at CCP, where an automated level building system was successfully pitched, and Sony Online Entertainment, where Plunkett held dual positions as Tech Art Lead and Programmer III, successfully integrating Unreal’s Lightmass into a legacy code base. Earlier career highlights comprise leadership roles at Monolith, GRS, and Kodiak Interactive, as well as foundational artistic contributions at Origin Systems and Bethesda Softworks. Plunkett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Mathematics from Western Oregon State College.
