Honey Pisano

Honey Pisano has a diverse range of work experience in various roles within the field of human resources. Honey started their career as an Administrative Assistant at Acclaim Studios Austin in 2001, where they remained until 2004. Honey then worked as a Human Resources Representative at Ion Storm from 2004 to 2005, followed by a role as a Human Resources Representative at Wolfpack Studios from 2005 to 2006. During this time, they played a key role in the shutdown of Wolfpack Studios and the startup of Stray Bullet Games, where they worked as a Human Resources Office Manager from 2006 to 2009.

Afterward, Honey joined Lightbox Interactive as an Office Manager & Associate Producer from 2009 to 2012. Honey helped establish the company in a new city and supported a team of four developers. Following this, Honey worked as an Office Manager at Kimberly Collins Colored Gems from 2013 to 2014, focusing on bookkeeping, inventory management, and customer support.

In 2015, they joined Retro Studios as a People Operations Coordinator, where they handled various functions in human resources, finance & accounting, facilities, payroll & benefits, and employee relations. Honey updated processes and improved efficiency during their time there until 2018.

Afterward, Honey joined Illuminate Education, Inc. and worked as a People Operations Administrator from 2018 to 2018. Honey then transitioned to the role of Senior People Operations Specialist from 2018 to 2022, concentrating on HRIS administration, payroll support, and compensation. Honey contributed to strengthening the company's structure and culture as it grew and underwent significant change.

Honey's most recent role was at Renaissance Learning, where they served as a Senior HR Technology Specialist from 2022 to 2023. Honey played a crucial part in the acquisition transition, creating a project plan and ensuring a seamless transition for employees. Honey'scontributions contributed to employee satisfaction and a positive culture.

Currently, Honey is working at Retro Studios as a Senior Human Resources Generalist, starting in 2023.

Honey Pisano began their education at Austin Community College from 2013 to 2015, where they studied Cardiac Sonography. Afterward, they attended SUNY Cobleskill, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Alongside their formal education, Honey also pursued additional certifications such as the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HRCI, which they obtained in September 2020, and the SHRM-CP from SHRM, which they obtained in January 2021.
