Jane Barrett

Jane Barrett is a seasoned journalism professional currently serving as the Head of AI Strategy at Reuters News Agency since July 2024. Prior to this role, Jane held various editorial leadership positions at Reuters from 2012 to 2024, including Global Editor of Media News Strategy and Global Head of Multimedia, where a digital transformation of the newsroom was led. Jane substantially enhanced Reuters' corporate journalism coverage in EMEA, increasing the number of companies reported on, and played a pivotal role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning coverage of the migrant crisis in 2015. Jane's earlier experience includes establishing a financial video platform during the financial crisis and covering significant events across Europe, including business, politics, and major sporting events. Jane holds a Master's Degree in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford and completed the Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program at Columbia University.
