Jefferson Kahinju

Jefferson Kahinju is an experienced Video Journalist currently working at Reuters News Agency since January 2022, focusing on breaking news and human interest stories. Previously, Jefferson served as a Multi-Media Producer at Africa InSight Communications from January 2015 to December 2018, producing TV magazine shows that highlight African innovation and beauty. Jefferson has also worked as a Video Journalist for IHA Ihlas News Agency, contributing to news items for Africa Today and The Africa Exchange. Prior experience includes a role as a Team Building Facilitator at OUTBURST LIMITED, guiding groups through experiential learning to enhance team cohesion, and earlier positions as a Video Journalist at Reuters News Agency where coverage included the 2013 general elections in Kenya. Jefferson holds a Diploma in Mass Communication from East Africa School of Media Studies, attained between 2010 and 2012.
