Timour Azhari

Timour Azhari has a diverse work experience in the field of journalism. Timour started their career at The Daily Star in 2016 as an intern reporter and later worked as a Lebanon reporter and senior reporter. In 2019, they joined the Lebanese Oil and Gas Initiative (LOGI) as a newsletter writer. The same year, they also became a part of the Al Jazeera Media Network as a contributor and Beirut correspondent. In 2021, they worked as a Lebanon correspondent for the Thomson Reuters Foundation. Currently, they hold the position of Iraq Bureau Chief for Reuters News Agency.

Timour Azhari attended the American University of Beirut from 2014 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Studies.
