Bertrand Vick is the co-founder and CEO of Rev Genomics. Prior to this, they were the Chief Scientific Officer at Aurora Algae, Inc from January 2006 to May 2015. Bertrand is the progenitor of the Aurora concept and developed an idea into a venture-backed, best-in-class organization with >$100M total funding to date. Bertrand built the scientific capabilities from the ground up - recruited all scientific staff and scientific advisors, established the laboratory, developed and led all R&D projects from conception and validation through implementation at overseas demonstration facility. Bertrand is the primary or contributing inventor on 15 patent applications and issued patents.
Bertrand Vick received their PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Bertrand also holds a B.S. in Molecular Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. In addition, they have a certification from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in Management of Technology (MOT).
