Doug Henson has extensive experience spanning over three decades with various organizations. Doug started their career as a Deputy Sheriff with the San Diego County Sheriff's office in 1990. In 2002, they joined Ernst & Young as a Staff Accountant, working for two years before moving to Newland Communities as a Financial Reporting Manager/Consultant in 2004.

Henson then worked with Illumina and Life Technologies as a Consultant before joining Audatex as an Accounting Manager in 2010. From 2012 to 2020, they served as a Financial Controller at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, where they led the San Diego team for ERP selection, payroll processing software selection, and regulatory transition.

In 2020, Henson moved to the La Jolla Institute for Immunology and served as the Senior Director of Accounting, Controller before becoming the Chief Financial Officer - Interim in May 2021. Currently, they work as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at REVA Medical, LLC, where they lead the finance and administrative teams. Overall, Henson has had a successful career and contributed significantly towards the financial growth and success of the organizations they worked with.

Doug Henson completed the Chief Financial Officer Program at Columbia Business School in 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of San Diego in 2002.
