Kate Howard

Kate Howard is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in investigative reporting and editorial leadership. Currently serving as Deputy Editor at Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting since March 2022, Kate previously held the position of Managing Editor at the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting from April 2016 to March 2022, leading impactful investigations that highlighted significant societal issues in Louisville. With a strong background in covering higher education, Kate worked as a Higher Education Reporter for the Omaha World-Herald and as an Enterprise Reporter for The Florida Times Union, where innovative storytelling and accountability were prioritized. Kate began a journalism career at The Tennessean and launched a city government beat at the Newport Daily News. Educationally, Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Salve Regina University.
