VP Engineering And Lead Architect at Revenera

Rob Davies has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several roles and companies in the technology industry. Rob started their career in 1999 as the CTO of SpiritSoft, where they stayed until 2005. Rob then joined LogicBlaze as the General Manager of Technical Operations, where they played a key role in creating the ActiveMQ and ServiceMx projects before they were donated to the Apache Software Foundation.

In 2007, Davies became the Director of Open Source Development at IONA Technologies, and in the same year, they also started working as a Developer at The Apache Software Foundation. Rob continued their journey in 2008 as the Director of Engineering FUSE source at Progress Software.

Davies then joined FuseSource in 2010, where they served as the CTO. Rob led the architecture of Apache ActiveMQ version 5, a major upgrade that supported large, long-living message queues. At FuseSource, Davies also worked on delivering solutions for various industry sectors and collaborated with organizations like the FAA.

In 2012, Davies moved to Red Hat, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Software Engineering. During their time, they focused on delivering the online developer environment openshift.io and served as Technical Director of Fuse Engineering.

In 2018, Davies joined CloudBees as the VP of Engineering, overseeing various engineering roles. Rob later became the Senior Director Engineering of Cloud CD before ultimately being promoted to Lead Architect. In 2020, Davies started working at Revenera as the VP of Engineering and Lead Architect, providing expert technical guidance. Finally, in 2023, they joined Chainlink Labs as a Technical Advisor.

Rob Davies attended the University of London from 1983 to 1987, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Applied Physics. Following this, they enrolled at Cranfield University from 1987 to 1988 and completed a Master of Science degree in Intelligent Knowledge Based Systems.
