Alex Melzer is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. Co-founder and CEO of ZOLAR GmbH since January 2016, Alex also serves as a board member at the company. In addition, Alex has been an advisor at Revent, a venture capital firm focused on purpose-driven innovation, since February 2021. Prior to these roles, Alex held leadership positions as General Manager and in Product Management & Business Development at Soventix Canada Inc. from September 2010 to April 2014 and as a Product Manager in International Sales at SOLARWATT AG from April 2007 to August 2010. Alex holds a Master of Science degree in Energy Engineering & Finance from Technische Universität Dresden, completed in 2009.
