Gowri P. has a diverse work experience in various roles. Gowri began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Health Equity at Cleveland State University in 2007. During this time, they responded to data requests, researched census datasets, created customized reports and GIS maps, and maintained the center's service request database.
In 2009, Gowri worked as a GIS Intern at the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and as a Consultant: Geographic Information Systems Specialist at Northern Ohio Data and Information Service (NODIS) at Cleveland State University.
From 2010 to 2014, they worked as an Architect at Sanjeev Associates, followed by an independent project called "Green Cover of Manhattan" in 2014.

Most recently, they joined ringDNA in 2020 as a Software Test Engineer, where they are currently employed.
Gowri P. completed a Master's degree in Urban Planning Design and Development from Cleveland State University, which was attended from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from Sri Venkateshwara College Of Architecture, where they studied from 1999 to 2005. Additionally, Gowri has completed online certificate courses from coursera: one in Programming in Python offered by the University of Toronto, and another in Introduction to Databases offered by Stanford University MOOC.
