Zhenzhen Zhang has had a diverse work experience since 2011. In 2011, they were an Intern at Chongqing TianZi Floriculture Company. The following year, they were an Intern at Chongqing Landscape Architecture Design Institute where they assisted with data collection for landscape planning for Nanchong Flower Town. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Consultant Internship at 1421 Consulting Group, helping the client for targeting and allocating the bumblebee market in China. In 2016, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan- School for Environment and Sustainability, where they worked with Warrendale neighborhood in the City of Detroit via survey and interview and developed a nature-based strategic plan. From 2017 to 2022, they were a Research Assistant at 美国北卡罗来纳州立大学, where they analyzed mixed-method statewide survey and mobile phone data to assess how COVID-19 affects the park use across demographics and vulnerable communities across NC. Currently, they are a Data Scientist at Revibe Technologies.
Zhenzhen Zhang has an extensive education history. Zhenzhen began their studies in 2010, graduating with a Bachelor of Agriculture from Beijing Forestry University in 2014. Zhenzhen then pursued a Master of Science in Environmental Science and a Master of Science in Environmental Informatics from University of Michigan- School for Environment and Sustainability, as well as a Master of Landscape Architecture from the same institution, all of which they completed in 2017. In 2021, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Forestry, Interdisciplinary Sustainable Science from North Carolina State University. In addition, they obtained a PhD in Forestry and Environmental Resources from the University of North Carolina at Raleigh in December 2021.
