Julie Helmus

Julie Helmus, OD, is an experienced optometrist and consultant with various roles in the field of optometry and practice management. Currently serving as a consultant at Alcon and a medical advisor at Avulux, Julie also maintains a practice as an optometrist at Helmus Optometry since July 2015. Additional responsibilities include being a PERC Key Advisor and a practice management lecturer at Vision Expo, where lectures have received COPE approval. Julie contributes to the Review of Optometric Business as a writer and previously worked as a syndicated columnist for McNaughton Media. Julie holds a Doctor's Degree in Optometry from Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
