Peter Joost

Director at Revitope Oncology

Peter is a founding shareholder and Director of Revitope, and investor across multiple industries and geographies. He was an early investor in mainland China, starting in 1994, and was Founder of Orchid Asia (private equity fund) and a founding partner of Yiheng Capital (public equity fund). Previously, he was a principal partner of Richard Rainwater and, earlier in his career, worked in the corporate finance group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York.

In Healthcare, he has invested in services investor in the first going private transaction of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in 1989, medical devices (led a Rainwater-affiliated fund’s investment in NYSE listed Intermedics, subsequently sold to [Sulzer) and, more recently, in biotech a seed investor in Amygdala and in Cardiogen (merged with Audentes Therapeutic, subsequently sold to Japan-based [Astellas Pharma for ~$3bn)].
