John Knox, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in computational chemistry and structural biology with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Structural Chemistry and Discovery Sciences at REVOLUTION Medicines since September 2019, John leads teams in diverse scientific domains and has successfully overseen projects resulting in development candidates, including RMC-9805. Prior roles include Associate Director at IDEAYA Biosciences, where John re-established the computational chemistry discipline and co-invented a clinical-stage asset, and positions at Achaogen, Gilead Sciences, and GlaxoSmithKline, contributing to various therapeutic areas and guiding drug discovery efforts. John holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Wayne State University and a B.S. in Chemistry from York College of Pennsylvania.
