Norman Black

Norman Black has over 30 years of work experience, starting in 1988 as an Officer at HM Revenue & Customs and working there until 2008. Norman then transitioned into the field of software testing and quality assurance. Norman held roles such as Specialist at HPE 3Par from 2013 to 2017, where they tested Enterprise level storage systems using Linux command line and served as an SQA Lead engineer. Norman later worked as an SQA Software Engineer at 3PAR from 2013 to 2017, a QA Analyst at SQS Group in 2017, and a QA Engineer at STIONA SOFTWARE LIMITED from 2018 to 2019. Norman then joined Applied Systems as a Quality Assurance Associate from 2019 to 2022 before becoming a Senior Quality Assurance Tester at ScreenCloud - Digital Signage from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they hold the role of Quality Assurance Engineer at Reward, starting in 2023.

Norman Black pursued their education in the field of Communications Technology. Norman began their academic journey in 2007 at Northern Regional College, Newtownabbey, where they achieved a BTEC National Diploma with a Triple Distinction Award. Following this, they enrolled at Ulster University in 2009 and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Information Communications Technology.
