Communications Manager - Visual Storytelling

James Shooter is a seasoned communications manager with expertise in visual storytelling, currently serving at Rewilding Europe since January 2025. With a robust background in photography and filmmaking, James has operated James Shooter Photography since September 2012. Notable roles include photography guide at Natures Images from January 2019 to May 2025, and trustee at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust from March 2024 to March 2025. Additionally, James hosted and produced The Rewild Podcast at Rewilding Europe from January 2023 to August 2024, and contributed as a visual content creator for SCOTLAND: The Big Picture from August 2015 to January 2023. Experience also includes serving as head of rewilding escapes, focusing on ecotourism in the Scottish Highlands, and working as an aerial cinematographer for SILVERBACK FILMS on the Wild Isles project. James holds a Master of Science in Biological Photography & Imaging from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with Conservation from Bangor University.
