Leonard Sprik

Leonard Sprik is an experienced professional in philanthropy and partnership management with a significant background in marketing and communications. Currently serving as Head of Philanthropy at Rewilding Europe since July 2025, Leonard oversees the organization's comprehensive funding strategy, securing financial resources from various funders. Prior to this role, Leonard was Head of Innovative Partnerships at The Ocean Cleanup, focusing on building relationships to support the mission of eliminating plastic from oceans. With extensive experience at Oikocredit as Deputy Director of Marketing & Communications, Leonard developed global marketing strategies and managed investor relations. Additional roles include Advisor for Economic Development at SNV Netherlands Development Organisation and Programme Manager for Afghanistan at the IntEnt programme of DGIS. Leonard holds a Master's degree in Development Communication from Radboud University and a HEAO degree in Marketing and Communications from Inholland University of Applied Sciences.
