Cammie Croft has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of digital strategy and communications for social impact. Cammie is currently serving as the Chief of Staff at Rewiring America since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Advisor and Consultant, where they provided strategic advice on digital, fundraising, communications, and change management strategies to a range of clients, including start-ups, non-profit organizations, and brands working on various social issues.
From 2016 to 2022, Cammie held the role of Chief Community Officer and Managing Director at FWD.us, where they managed the flagship Bay Area office and led teams in technology, creative, audience, and digital campaigns. Cammie also served as an Advisory Board Member and Founding Chief Marketing Officer at Aidbox AB/Inc. from 2016 to 2018, focusing on using digital marketing to support social causes.
Cammie's previous experiences include being the Deputy Executive Director of Digital and Strategic Communications at Amnesty International, where they oversaw the strategic direction of communications, digital, and technology for AIUSA. Cammie also worked as the Chief Digital Officer at Amnesty International, conducting audits and developing new visions and strategies for AIUSA's communications in a 21st-century environment.
Before joining Amnesty International, Cammie worked as an Independent Consultant, providing digital strategy advice to private and public-sector clients, including interactive agency HUGE, open gov advocates, authors, and non-profit/political organizations.
Earlier in their career, Cammie held senior positions at the U.S. Department of Energy, where they served as a Senior Advisor and Director of Digital Strategy and Communications. Cammie established the Office of Digital Strategy and overhauled the department's online presence. Cammie also worked at the White House as the Deputy New Media Director, overseeing digital presences and engagement programs for various offices.
Cammie's career began in 2008 as a Deputy New Media Director on the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Team, where they managed New Media communications and integrated them with the overall communications message.
Cammie Croft pursued their education at the University of Washington from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Communications.
