Senior Software Engineer at Rewiring America

Nick Stevens has a diverse work experience spanning from 2011 to 2023. Nick started as a Product Management and User Experience Design Intern at The Hooch Life in 2011 before becoming a Web Manager and Photographer for the same company. In 2012, they founded their own studio called Nick Stevens Studio and worked as the Owner and Software Engineer until 2016.

From 2014 to 2015, Nick served as a Graduate Faculty at BDW. In the same year, they also worked as a Full-stack JavaScript Engineer at Human Design, where they built the front-end for HealthySkoop.com. During this time, they made various improvements, including decreasing development time and increasing the speed and organization of JavaScript and CSS.

In 2016, Nick joined ZOLA Electric as a User Experience Lead, responsible for leading the user experience efforts. Nick later worked at projekt202 as a Senior Engineer for a short period before transitioning to Native Roots Colorado in 2018. At Native Roots Colorado, they held multiple roles, including Principal Software Engineer and Consumer Software Engineering Manager. Nick was involved in launching e-commerce platforms, managing software teams, and conducting user interviews for new product features.

In 2020, Nick joined Replica as a Lead Software Engineer and contributed to their software development projects until 2023. Currently, they are working as a Senior Software Engineer at Rewiring America, a company focused on transitioning to cleaner, more economical electric appliances and vehicles.

Additionally, in 2022, Nick co-founded Go Electric Colorado and served as a Board Member. The organization aims to transition homes and commutes to cleaner electric alternatives, with a team of volunteer Neighborhood Advisors.

Nick Stevens obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Webster University from 2007 to 2010. During their time at Webster University, they also pursued a Minor in International Human Rights and earned a Certificate in Leadership. From 2013 to 2014, Nick attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where they obtained a Masters Certificate. In November 2019, they obtained an additional certification in the Emerging Leaders Program from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business.
