Shane Whalley

Shane Whalley is an experienced educator and consultant with a focus on social justice, cultural humility, and LGBTQIA issues. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at St. Edward's University and an Assistant Professor of Instruction at The University of Texas at Austin, Shane also owns Daring Dialogues Consulting, which offers training on dismantling White Supremacy Culture and promoting inclusivity. Additionally, Shane has held various roles such as Lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin, Community Equity and Inclusion Coordinator for the Austin Independent School District, and Peer Support Unit Manager at Via Hope. With a Master's degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration from Humboldt State University, Shane has contributed significantly to the fields of mental health and social equity, particularly for LGBTQIA communities.
