Kristin Austin Ed.d.

Kristin Austin, Ed.D. is currently serving as the Vice President of I.D.E.As. (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Access) at Rewriting the Code since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of I.D.E.As. at the same organization from April 2021 to October 2022. Kristin is also the Founder & CEO of K.E. Advancement, Inc. since June 2018. In addition, Kristin has experience working as an Adjunct Professor at DeSales University from September 2020 to May 2022, and as the Senior Director of New Student Programs at West Chester University of Pennsylvania from April 2020 to April 2021. Kristin'sprevious roles include serving as the Assistant Director, New Student & Family Programs and Assistant Professor at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania from 2009 to 2020, Adjunct Professor at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania from January 2019 to May 2019, Associate Director of Admissions at Ross University School of Medicine from January 2008 to July 2009, Graduate Admissions Coordinator & Adult Learner Academic Coordinator at Mercyhurst College from July 2005 to December 2007, and Admissions Counselor at Gannon University from August 2003 to August 2004.

Kristin Austin, Ed.D. completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Social Work from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania between 1999 and 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in College Student Counseling and Personnel Services from PennWest Edinboro from 2004 to 2006. Kristin furthered their education by obtaining a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Leadership & Administration from Immaculata University from 2014 to 2018. Recently, in 2020 and 2021, they completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion from Cornell University Graduate School.
