Sheila Hemby

Sheila Hemby is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as the Healthcare System Director of Physician Practice Relations at UNC REX Healthcare since July 2018. Prior to this role, Sheila held the position of Regional Director of Revenue Cycle Management at MEDNAX, overseeing revenue cycle functions for a network of anesthesia practices. Earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Revenue Cycle at UNC Health Care, managing physician billing for the organization and its affiliates, as well as roles in operations management and practice administration at UNC REX Healthcare. Sheila’s career began at Raleigh Orthopedic Clinic as the Director of Patient Accounts and Reimbursements. Sheila holds a Master’s degree in Health Administration from Pfeiffer University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Barton College.
