Julia Hood

Director of Teaching & Learning at Reynolda House Museum of American Art

Julia Hood serves as the Director of Teaching and Learning at Reynolda House Museum of American Art since October 2022, overseeing K-12 and family programs. Previously, Julia held multiple positions at the same institution, including Manager of School and Family Learning and Coordinator of Education, where responsibilities encompassed planning tours, developing early childhood programs, and facilitating youth and family art initiatives. Julia's experience also includes roles in healthcare administration and education, with internships at prominent cultural institutions like the Archives of American Art and Smithsonian National Museum of American History. Julia earned a Master’s degree in the History of Decorative Arts from the Smithsonian-Corcoran and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art (Sculpture) and Psychology from Guilford College.
