Vanessa Smith

Vanessa Smith's work experience includes working as a Lead Manager and Manager of Graphic Communications at Reynolds American, Inc. from 2015 to present. In these roles, they utilize the Adobe Creative Suite to design and create projects that support communication throughout the company and its operating companies while ensuring adherence to brand standards.

Prior to that, they worked as a Marketing Design Specialist at CAI- Capital Associated Industries from 1999 to 2015. In this role, they created newsletters and other marketing pieces to keep members informed about compliance, risk management, and people development.

Vanessa also briefly worked as a Junior Production Designer at Encore Publications in 1997. Before entering the professional world, they held various jobs from 1990 to 1997.

Vanessa Smith completed their Master of Arts degree in Design Management from Savannah College of Art and Design between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Appalachian State University from 1993 to 1997, specializing in Graphic Arts & Imaging Technology with a minor in Art. Vanessa's secondary education was completed at A. L. Brown High School.
