Richard Pavek serves as the President of RFnav since July 2015, where expertise is applied in designing algorithms and concepts for autonomous driving, including innovations in radar technology to match Lidar resolution. Prior to this role, Richard Pavek was the Chief Scientist for Radar at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory from April 1991 to July 2015, specializing in radar systems for various domains and advancing sensor techniques for tracking and signal processing, including contributions to Ballistic Missile Defense. Richard Pavek also held the position of Chief Scientist at Hughes Aircraft Company from October 1969 to September 1989, with significant involvement in radar design for F-14 aircraft and leading radar initiatives for PHOENIX and AMRAAM missile systems. Academic accomplishments include a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Communication Theory and Math from the University of Southern California, and both BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
