Krister Nyman has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 1999 as a Political Advisor for the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, where they communicated with various stakeholders regarding government policies. Krister then worked as a Project Manager for the Swedish Social Democratic Party, coordinating conferences and managing campaign websites. In 2002, they worked as a Project Manager at Opticom International Research, managing research operations. Krister also worked as an Ombudsman at ST - The Union of Civil Servants, analyzing organizational structures and contributing to a new structure. Nyman was a Coordinator at Yes to Europe, managing pro-Euro debaters during a referendum. Krister then joined The Swedish NGO Foundation For Human Rights as a Project Coordinator, fundraising and coordinating project work. Currently, they are the Head of Fundraising at RFSU, where they established the organization as a fundraising proposition and expanded corporate cooperations.
Krister Nyman has a diverse educational background. In 1994, they enrolled in Stockholm University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2000. Krister then pursued further studies at Griffith University, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in International Studies from 2000 to 2001. Later, in 2013, they attended the Berghs School of Communication to become a Certified Fundraiser. This certification was awarded by the European Fundraising Association (EFA) and the Swedish Fundraising Council (FRII) in November 2013.
