Retha Van Den Berg

Retha Van Den Berg has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 1997, they began as an Administrative Assistant at Sanlam, where they managed time and priorities, performed office management and administration tasks, and handled secretarial duties. Moving up in the company, they served as a Junior Contract Consultant, providing coaching on procedures and support systems. Retha then took on the role of Senior Contract Consultant, where they continued contract management and coaching. Following that, they became a Production Coordinator, overseeing a team of six, administering remuneration, and managing external partnerships. From 2009 to 2011, Retha worked as a Training Practitioner, conducting training needs analysis, designing training material, and identifying learning gaps.

In 2012, they transitioned to RE/MAX of Southern Africa as an Intern Real Estate Agent, focusing on canvassing for new stock, managing databases, and showing houses. After that, they joined Safe-T-Con in 2015 as an Occupationally Directed Education Training & Development Practitioner & Assessor. Their responsibilities included facilitating training and conducting assessments on health and safety topics. Finally, in 2020, Retha became the Environment, Health, and Safety Manager at RG Cosmetics.

Retha Van Den Berg has a diverse educational background spanning several years. Their most recent educational pursuit was from 2020 to 2022 at NEBOSH, where they obtained an International Diploma in Health and Safety Management for Professionals. Prior to that, in 2015, they attended Executive Coaching & Facilitation and completed a course in Plan & Conduct Assessment.

In 2014, Retha attended St John Training Centre for First Aid training, and in 2012, they went back to Executive Coaching & Facilitation to become a Skills Development Facilitator. From 2010 to 2011, Retha attended Maccauvlei Learning Academy and earned a FETC in Educationally-Directed Education Training and Development Practices.

Retha also has certifications from various training programs. In 2006, they participated in a course on Best Practices for the Leader-Manager at KT Hansen Consultancy. In 1999, they completed Professional Writing Skills, Professionalism in Action, and Recording Minutes courses at NDA Training. Additionally, they obtained a Secretarial certificate from Sanlam in 1998.

Lastly, Retha Van Den Berg completed their secondary education at Hoerskool Hoogenhout from 1979 to 1982 and received their Grade 12 diploma.

Additionally, Retha obtained the OD ETDP Assessor certification from ETDP SETA in June 2015.
