Craig Armstrong

Craig Armstrong is an experienced professional in actuarial analytics and data science with a career spanning various roles in leading organizations. Currently serving as Director of Actuarial Analytics at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated since July 2022, Craig provides global analytics and research support across diverse projects. Prior to this, Craig held multiple positions at Aviva from July 2016 to June 2022, including Principal Data Scientist, where oversight of analytics for the UK Protection business was a key responsibility, as well as Lead Data Scientist, focusing on advanced data science applications in the Life sector. Earlier experience includes research as a Longevity Actuary and training as an Actuarial Trainee at Friends Life UK. Craig’s academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol, alongside postdoctoral research experience in protein design.
