Wenjie Lu

Wenjie Lu, ASA, is a seasoned actuary with extensive experience in valuation and reporting. Currently serving as a Senior Actuarial Valuation Analyst at the Reinsurance Group of America since June 2014, Wenjie has demonstrated expertise in individual insurance and wealth management products, overseeing IFRS and USGAAP reserves, and managing capital calculations. Previous roles include Valuation Lead and Valuation Analyst at Manulife Financial, where responsibilities encompassed the dynamic loading of reinsurance assumptions into liability models and analyzing reserve movements. Wenjie began the actuarial career with an internship at China Life Insurance Company and has also gained experience in financial analysis and market research at Ivanhoe Cambridge China, along with substantial statistical analysis work at Statistics Canada. Wenjie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science with a Finance option from the University of Waterloo.
