Jose Eduardo Chavez

Jose Eduardo Chavez has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Jose Eduardo is currently working as a Regional Program Manager at Richard Heath & Associates, Inc. (RHA), leading community outreach campaigns and ensuring access to COVID-19 resources in California. In addition, they serve as a Planning Commissioner at The City of Madera, where they review and assesses proposed land use developments.

Prior to their current positions, Jose worked as an Intercultural Broker, building connections between immigrants and civil society through dialogue and cultural understanding. Jose Eduardo also served as a Field Staff Lead at the California Citizens Redistricting Commission, leading public outreach efforts and communication with stakeholders in multiple counties.

Jose has also gained experience as a District Representative in the California State Assembly, where they served as a liaison to state and local agencies, coordinated community events, and supported constituent services. Jose Eduardo has contributed as an Adjunct Professor at Universidad Tecnológica de Tijuana and a Community Development Volunteer at Unidas Para Vivir Mejor (UPAVIM), working towards education and community development.

Jose Eduardo Chavez began their education at Madera High School from 2008 to 2012. After completing high school, they attended Fresno Pacific University from 2012 to 2016. At Fresno Pacific University, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Spanish: Language, Culture and Literature. Additionally, they obtained a minor in International Relations and Affairs during the same period. Jose Eduardo also earned a second Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Fresno Pacific University from 2012 to 2016.
