Aimee Hosemann has a long and varied work experience. Aimee began their career in 1997 as a Copyeditor at the Idaho State Journal, where they also worked in pre-press. In 2005, they moved to The Southern Illinoisan, where they worked as a Copyeditor. In 2009, they began their doctoral studies at Southern Illinois University. In 2013, they took on the role of Lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin. In 2017, they worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Colorado College and a Lecturer at Texas State University. In 2018, they began working as an Assistant Professor of the Practice of Anthropology and Linguistics at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, teaching courses on cultural and linguistic anthropology, graduate core courses in linguistic anthropology, and linguistic diversity in the U.S. In 2020, they took on the role of Writer/Researcher at RHB, INC., and in 2021 they were promoted to Director of Qualitative Research and Consultant at RHB.
Aimee Hosemann completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2017. Aimee had previously obtained a Master of Arts in Anthropology from the same university in 2008. Her undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Idaho State University, which they received in 2004.
