John Michael Cuccia

John Michael Cuccia has over 20 years of work experience in the technology field. John Michael began their career in 2000 as Senior Program Director at DeBusk Enrichment Center of Texas (DECATS), where they were the Chief operations and technology officer for a non-profit summer academic enrichment program. John Michael designed and implemented custom major database systems for prospect applications, user portals, master course scheduling and finance tracking, and executed budget and capital projects. In 2009, they became Assistant Director of Technology & Teacher at St. Thomas High School, where they were the SIS administrator and co-lead for planning, implementation and maintenance of IT systems and software. John Michael led numerous integration projects between school departments and established the school's first on- and off-site BCDR system, as well as a five-year equipment lifecycle and asset management system. In 2016, they joined Rice University as Associate Director for Admission Information Systems, where they were the administrator and architect for all aspects of undergraduate admission CRM, Slate by Technolutions. John Michael created and administered the division's technology plan and replacement schedule, including procurement, software agreements, risk management and PCI compliance, and security administration. John Michael also designed and prototyped ticketing, knowledgebase and project management systems. In 2018, they became a Group Exercise Instructor at YMCA of Greater Houston. Currently, they are a Senior Technology Consultant and Technology Consultant at RHB.

John Michael Cuccia's education history includes attending St. Thomas High School from 2001 to 2005, DeBusk Enrichment Center of Texas (DECATS) from 1998 to 1999, Rice University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Economic Analysis and a Business Minor, and National University from 2010 to 2011, where they earned a Master's degree in Teaching with Specialization in Educational Technology.
