Andreas Esser

Andreas Esser has extensive experience in leadership and management within the energy sector. Currently serving as Geschäftsführer and Regulierungsmanager at Rhein-Sieg Netz GmbH since April 2016, as well as Geschäftsführer at Westerwald-Netz GmbH since April 2021, Esser has previously held the Geschäftsführer position at KVK Verteilnetze und Konzessionen GmbH from July 2017 to April 2021. Additionally, Esser contributed as a Freier Autor at Wilhelm Büchner Hochschule, authoring study materials on energy management and future energy systems. Prior to these roles, Esser worked as a Commercial Asset Manager at Statkraft and as a consultant at Consentec GmbH. Educationally, Esser holds a Master of Science in Practical Computer Science from FernUniversität in Hagen and advanced degrees from RWTH Aachen University, including a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences and a Diplom in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Electrical Power Engineering.
