Oliver Spiller has an extensive work experience spanning over several years. Oliver began their career as a Verlagsrepräsentant at Gruner + Jahr GmbH in 2000 and later served as Geschäftsführer at sv-media from 2002 to 2003. In 2004, they joined OMD Germany as the Head of Print and Director of Planning. Oliver continued to work at OMD Germany until 2007. From 2008 to 2010, they served as the Verlagsleiter at Uptown Verlag GmbH. In 2010, Spiller joined Media Impact GmbH & Co. KG as a Unit Manager Sales and worked there until 2019. During this time, they also pursued freelance work as a Freiberufler at Oliver Spiller Medienberatung from March 2019 to September 2019. In 2019, they moved to Funke Mediengruppe GmbH & Co. KGaA, where they worked as a Key Account Manager until March 2022. Currently, they are employed as a Key Account Manager at Rheinische Post Mediengruppe since April 2022.

Oliver Spiller attended the University of Duisburg-Essen from 1987 to 1992, where they pursued a degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften. Oliver acquired a Diplom Ökonom upon completion of their studies. In 1990, they also participated in an Auslandssemester at Sheffield Hallam University, focusing on Marketing and North American Business.
