Nicholas Bush has a diverse work experience in the contracts and proposals field. Nicholas most recently worked as the Vice President of Contracts at Rheinmetall, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Contracts & Proposals at Rheinmetall from May 2019 to September 2022. Before joining Rheinmetall, Nicholas held the position of Senior Manager of Contracts at Albany Engineered Composites from April 2018 to May 2019. Nicholas was responsible for providing contractual and business strategy guidance, as well as serving as the primary customer interface for strategic customer issues. Nicholas also has experience as a Program Director at Dare Mighty Things, Inc. from June 2008 to July 2012, managing a large government contract and achieving successful budget management. Nicholas started their career as an Aegis Combat Systems Specialist in the US Navy from November 1992 to February 1997.

Nicholas Bush attended the University of Southern Maine from 2002 to 2003, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Following that, they attended the University of Maine School of Law from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained their Juris Doctor degree.
