Human Resources Manager at RheoSense

James Farmer has a long and varied career in Human Resources and accounting. James began their career in 1986 as a Junior Accountant at US Fleet Leasing. James then moved to Kaufman and Broad of Northern California in 1991 as a Staff Accountant. In 1995, they became a Personnel Analyst at the City of East Palo Alto. In 1999, they joined NCIRE - The Northern California Institute for Research and Education as a Human Resources Management Specialist where they authored policies, processes, and procedures in support of the company's vision and goals. In 2005, they became a Human Resources Representative at Paychex, providing in-depth client consultation and strategic HR consultation. In 2006, they joined AMERITAC, INC as an HR Manager, developing, administering, and enforcing human resource programs. In 2019, they became a Human Resources Manager, Plant at Guittard Chocolate Company. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Human Resources Manager at RheoSense Inc., serving as a strategic “hands-on” partner to design and deliver people strategies and solutions.

James Farmer began their education in 2000, graduating with honors from Contra Costa College with an Associate of Science degree in Business Management, General. James then attended Golden Gate University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA), Cum Laude, in Human Resource Management. Following their graduation, Farmer obtained the Professional in Human Resources™ (PHR™) certification from HRCI in May 2006. In March 2015, they obtained the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM and in December of the same year, they obtained a Resident Insurance Producer certification from the California Department of Insurance.
