Lisa Hoopis

Lisa Hoopis has extensive experience in education and health advocacy, currently serving as an adjunct professor of human sexuality at Rhode Island College since January 2014. In addition to this role, Lisa has held multiple positions focused on student health and wellbeing, including Women's Center Coordinator and Health Education Coordinator at Rhode Island College. From August 2019 to June 2024, Lisa was the Director of Education & Training at Sojourner House and previously served as the Director of Recruitment and Admissions at The UCAP School between January 2016 and June 2018. Lisa's career also includes a significant tenure at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, Inc. as a Regional Manager for Education and Training and leadership at Athena's Home Novelties. Lisa holds a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education Administration from Johnson & Wales University and a Master's in Youth Development from Rhode Island College, complemented by a Bachelor's in Psychology from the same institution.
